ATLANTA, – January 30, 2012 - H-E Parts International announces the appointment of Scott Alexander to the position of President of H-E Parts Crown (www.crownparts.us).  Crown is a leading supplier to the surface mining industry, providing new and remanufactured parts, components and services in support of mobile mining equipment maintenance.  The company was founded in 1975 by Paul Hatzell and was acquired by H-E Parts International in 2009.

Commenting on the appointment, J.P. Richard, CEO and Founder of H-E Parts International (www.h-epartsinternational.com) said, “Scott is a very logical and well suited choice for Crown.  His prior experience with mining shovel manufacturers in particular and the global mining industry in general, will be a great asset in further expanding our shovel as well as our haul truck product lines.”

Mr. Alexander comes to Crown with 34 years of mining industry experience. Prior to joining H-E Parts, he held senior leadership roles with P&H MinePro, Bucyrus and Boart Longyear.  “Scott has a track record of growing organizations and improving customer service,” commented Michael Coffey, COO H-E Parts Americas.  “We are pleased to have him join H-E Parts and eager to leverage his product and managerial expertise.”

Alexander was educated at the University of Wisconsin, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing.   He will report to Michael Coffey and maintain his office from Crown’s headquarters in Billings, Montana.  In keeping with his original wishes after selling his company, Paul Hatzell has transitioned to a part-time but very critical role in business development.

Crushing & Mining Equipment (CME), a subsidiary of the H-E Parts International group of companies, celebrated the official opening of its new 6000m2 Yatala facility on 19 May.

After six years at CME’s previous address, regional general manager Gordon Fogwill and his staff relocated in mid-February to the new site, allowing the company to provide an even higher level of service and support to its customers.
